Ways To Keep Skin Healthy

One of the best ways to look young is to be free from stress and bad vibes. Just be happy and laugh. Well, it improves blood circulation in the body and reduces stress, take note of the old saying “laughter is the best medicine”. That is why, happy people always look blooming, young and free. Another one is to limit sweets intake as these act as oxidants in the skin.

A warm bath is also best instead of hot to avoid drying of the skin. Another benefit of warm bathing is to have even blood circulation throughout the body. Enough sleep is also recommended especially to those individuals who have dry, sagged or wrinkled skins because sleeping aids in repairing the skin. Cutting down alcohol intake is better as it can cause dehydration and breaks capillaries, in which when a person drinks alcohol, redness on the face is noticeable especially to those have light skin complexion.

Too much exposure under the heat of the sun is not good. Therefore, applying sunscreens is recommended especially to those out goers. Also, wearing sunglasses with UVA/UVB protection is a must since skin around the eyes are very delicate and prone to wrinkle formation. Makeup should be removed before going to bed especially the eye makeup. Another thing is to change the makeup set often to prevent bacterial contamination onto face.

To eat healthy foods like fruits, vegetables and seafood are also good for the skin. Nourish it with vitamins and minerals from these whole foods because a healthy look is always paired with a healthy skin lifestyle. Of course, this also includes not smoking, having a regular exercise and a stress-free life. Yes, regular exercise is advisable since perspiration can flush away toxic components and dirt from the pores. Beverages like green tea and water are also good in rehydrating and protecting the skin from free radicals.

Cleanse the skin with mild soap and warm water twice a day to remove excess oil and dirt that can cause acne. Cleansing can be done especially before bedtime because the body excretes toxins while sleeping then do some massage to the body with loofah to remove dead skin cells.

Identify the specific skin type; is it oily, dry or sensitive? But if it’s not sure, consulting a dermatologist or reading from the internet or books can be ideal since different skin types require different ways of caring it like what to apply and what to avoid. Subjecting the skin to a steam bath or face mask is also good. Do it every once a week but as what mentioned earlier because the skin also deserves to be treated and of course, identifying what skin type is much important to do to avoid reactions. Lastly, exfoliate the face twice a week to remove dead skin cells.
